Myles Breen to Launch Its a Queer City

Limerick Writer’s Centre has announced that actor and playwright Myles Breen will be launching an anthology of LGBT writing from Limerick, Its a Queer City edited by Shane Vaughan.

The event will take place at the Loft Venue at The Locke Bar in George’s Quay Limerick on Sunday June 12 at 3.00pm.

This anthology features poetry, prose, essays and more, and explores the queer experience of Limerick life. It features contributors from both the straight and LGBT communities covering themes and issues relevant to all. The work is sensitive, brave, irreverent, and humorous; above all the writing is original, fresh, innovative and varied and embodies the strength of the region’s queer talent.

The Limerick Writers’ Centre is a non profit organisation established to nurture and support writers, fostering literary excellence through readings, workshops and publishing activities serving literature, books and creativity in the North Munster region since 2008.

It is available to buy online at Limerick Writer’s Centre and from all usual outlets.
